The situation at the front: nearly a third of the battles have been recorded in the Kurakhove direction

As of 22:00 on November 2, there have been 167 combat clashes on the front since the beginning of the day. Almost a third of them were on the Kurakhove direction.

This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy Shelling

Today, Russian invaders launched one missile strike and 56 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, using one guided missile and 81 glide bombs. Additionally, Russian military engaged 437 kamikaze drones for attacks and conducted over three thousand shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas.

Situation on the Front

In the Kharkiv direction, our troops repelled 8 enemy attacks near Vovchansk and Hatyshche - 7 attacks were repelled, one is ongoing, and the situation is under control.

In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attempted 13 assaults on our defenders’ positions in the areas of Pishchane, Zahryzove, Petropavlivka, Zelenyi Hai, Kruhlyakivka, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders repelled seven attacks, six remain ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, throughout the day, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 16 times near Hrekivka, Terniv, Yampolivka, Torske, and the Serebryanskyi forest. Two battles are currently in progress. The enemy actively used aviation, conducting twenty-four airstrikes with unguided missiles.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy carried out seven offensive actions in the areas of Ivano-Darivka and Vyimka during the day.

In the Kramatorsk direction, one combat clash near Predtechyne was recorded, which our defenders successfully repelled.

Russians dropped three guided aerial bombs in the Toretsk direction, and attacked defence positions eight times. The main offensive efforts were concentrated near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. One combat clash is currently ongoing.

Since the beginning of today, in the Pokrovsk direction, Russians attempted to break through our defence 11 times near Mykolaivka, Promin, Krutyi Yar, Selydove, and Vyshneve. One combat clash is still ongoing near Krutyi Yar.

"The enemy is suffering significant losses - today, 229 occupiers have been neutralized in this direction, 87 of them irreversibly. Two enemy tanks and two BMPs have also been destroyed," the General Staff noted.

In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy is also active - attacking our positions 51 times near Illinka, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Hostre, Maksymilyanivka, Antonivka, Kostyantynivka, and Katerynivka, with nine battles ongoing.

"According to updated information, 180 occupiers have been neutralized, 66 of whom irreversibly, and one vehicle has been destroyed, with two armored combat vehicles and one artillery system damaged," the statement reads.

In the Vremivka direction, the invaders launched 14 offensive actions near Trudove and Maksymivka. Four combat clashes are still ongoing. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Novodarivka, Bohoyavlenka, Maksymivka, and Velyka Novosilka, dropping six glide bombs and using 30 NARs.

In the Orikhiv direction, our troops repelled 4 enemy attacks near Novoandriivka, Robotyne, and Mala Tokmachka. One attempt by the enemy to advance towards our positions near Novoandriivka is ongoing.

In the Prydniprovske direction, our troops repelled three enemy attacks near Kozachi Laheri, Dnipryany, and Kozatskyi Island, without success for the enemy.

There are no significant changes in other directions.

"Today, we should recognize the warriors of the 406th Separate Artillery Brigade, the 128th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade, the 38th Separate Marine Brigade, the 79th Separate Assault Brigade of Tavria, and the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush," the General Staff concluded.
