Zelenskyy removed former Prosecutor General Kostin from the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has excluded Andriy Kostin from the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC). He was previously dismissed from the position of Prosecutor General of Ukraine.

This became known from the corresponding decree of the head of state.

"I decree, in partial amendment of Article 1 of the President’s Decree of March 29, 2024, No. 193/2024 ’On the Composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine’ (with amendments made by the Decree of September 13, 2024, No. 627/2024), to exclude A. Kostin from the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine," the document states.

It is indicated that the decree comes into effect from the day of its publication.
