The case of Andriy Baloha: HACC has arrested another suspect

The High Anti-Corruption Court has taken into custody the second co-owner of the company LLC "Binom-Group," Vitaliy Zaluzhnyi, who is suspected by NABU and SAPO of being involved in the case of the mayor of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, Andriy Baloha.

This decision was made by the HACC on November 6, as reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.

The prosecutor’s office does not mention the name of the suspect, but according to Slovo i Dilo, it is about Zaluzhnyi. He was previously subject to a preventive measure in the form of bail amounting to 908,000 UAH and was given certain obligations.

"Since the suspect violated the obligations set by the court, the prosecutor appealed to the court with a motion to apply a more severe preventive measure and forfeit the set bail in favor of the state. After reviewing the motion, the investigative judge decided to forfeit the 908,000 UAH bail and apply a preventive measure of custody to the suspect, with the alternative of a 10 million UAH bail. In execution of the court’s decision, the suspect was taken into custody in the courtroom," the prosecutor’s office reports.
