What should Russia do? Preferably f**k off, — Zelenskyy

The head of state said this during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

When the head of state was asked what concessions Russia should make during possible peace negotiations, he replied: «What should Russia do? Go to three letters. Preferably, it should understand what it is doing – killing us, while we are defending ourselves and fighting the enemy. For now, our plans remain unchanged. Of course, we really want to be stronger so that this war ends by 2025. Sorry for the undiplomatic expression».

Zelenskyy also noted that his one-on-one talks with Olaf Scholz lasted almost two and a half hours instead of the planned 40 minutes, with the main topics being the reinforcement of the front, the future role of the European Union, and the invitation for Ukraine to join NATO.

«I explained how important it is for us to have serious security guarantees, and I was quite open with the Chancellor regarding NATO and our security guarantees. Who we trust, and who we will never trust again. Let all the details remain between us, hence the long conversation», said the President.

Moreover, according to him, the meeting also touched upon the change of administration in the United States.

«We are very hopeful that the support from the new administration of the United States will be strong, even stronger, and that the policy of the United States will not change. First of all, we have to talk about this here in Europe and think about how we can further strengthen our state, whatever challenges may await us», Zelenskyy noted.
