In the occupied Crimea, mobile internet will be turned off to "ensure security"
In the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian forces plan to disconnect mobile internet. This is allegedly due to ensuring safety on the peninsula.
This was reported in the "Krym.Realii" Telegram channel.
The new development was informed by the occupation Ministry of Internal Policy, Information, and Communications of Crimea.
"To ensure the safety of Crimea residents, mobile internet disconnections may occur starting today," the agency stated.
It should be noted that the reasons for the disconnections are not specified, nor is their schedule. However, internet disconnections will begin as of December 17th.
Advisor to the Russian head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, added that mobile internet disconnections are possible at any time, not just at night.
