We have chaos in troop management, - Chmut
Taras Chmut, the head of the "Come Back Alive" foundation, is well aware of serious problems at the front.
During another interview with Ukrainska Pravda, Chmut repeatedly emphasizes: the authorities need to urgently make difficult and unpopular decisions to rectify the situation on the battlefield.
"By delaying the mobilization law, making adequate personnel appointments, supporting the ambitions of certain officers to have larger units, and making mistakes—we have caused chaos in military management," explains the volunteer, holding back emotions.
In the new interview, Taras Chmut explains why Russia is able to advance so actively. He assesses the threats to Kherson, Dnipro, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhya. He talks about the fear of military officials to report the truth upwards.
He criticizes NATO countries for their weakness. He talks about the danger of freezing the war. He also suggests that next year negotiations might begin regarding the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Main points from the interview:
- There is a grim dynamic at the front. In some places, we are repelling, in others we lose positions but return to them, and in others, we have to retreat. And so, meter by meter, grove by grove, village by village, the Russians are pushing us back.
- By delaying the mobilization law and adequate personnel appointments, we have caused chaos in military management.
- Key problems in military management: insufficient coordination, planning deficiencies, and a shortage of experienced commanders slow down progress.
- The role of people: the war relies on the motivation of the military and the support of society, but the exhaustion of personnel remains a key challenge.
