Ukraine and Britain are one step away from a "Century Agreement" between the countries, - OP

This became known with reference to the press service of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

As noted in the Office of the President, the fifth round of negotiations on the "century agreement" took place between Ukraine and the UK. The negotiations were a continuation of the agreements reached by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on December 23 of last year.

"The agreement’s draft document is in the final stage of approval," added the Office of the President.

During the negotiations, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva emphasized that Ukraine is grateful to the UK for its leadership in supporting Ukraine.

"Concluding a new fundamental agreement between our countries will be a historic event in our cooperation. This once again confirms that the United Kingdom has been, is, and will remain a reliable friend and partner of Ukraine," he emphasized.

Ukrainian and British delegations agreed on the next steps to finalize the agreement’s text.
