In the Zakarpattia region, three men have been detained attempting to illegally reach Hungary

On Friday evening, January 3, in the Zakarpattia region, border guards from the "Luzhanka" unit of the Mukachevo Detachment detained three individuals attempting to illegally enter Hungary.

This was reported by the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service.

Three men from the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zakarpattia regions attempted to cross into Hungary outside the official checkpoints. A patrol spotted the violators 800 meters from the border. Upon noticing the border guards, the men attempted to flee. In pursuit, the border guards fired several warning shots. All three were detained.

The violators were taken to the border unit. A court will soon determine the legal assessment of their actions. Currently, the border guards are identifying individuals involved in organizing the illegal journey.
