Zelenskyy personally monitors the situation with the 155th brigade, - journalist

During the meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief’s Headquarters, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took the situation with the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade "Anna Kyivska" under his personal control.

This was reported by journalist Yuriy Butusov.

Butusov wrote on Sunday that Zelenskyy had been briefed on the situation in the 155th Mechanized Brigade, and "he was most interested in the circumstances of desertion in France by several dozen servicemen of the brigade and the unauthorized absence of 1,700 servicemen during the formation of the brigade in Ukraine."

The head of state also instructed agencies to provide official reports. Among them are the Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defence, the General Staff, the Land Forces Command, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), and the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU).

"The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Syrskyi, blamed the desertion of soldiers in France on the command of the 155th Brigade, which allegedly did not spend time communicating with the soldiers...

... All the command of the 155th Brigade has already been suspended or is in the process of being suspended from their positions by Syrskyi’s decision - the brigade commander, chief of staff, all deputy commanders, some other staff officers, and some battalion commanders."

Details: According to media reports, commissions are constantly working at the brigade’s command post, and staff officers are providing explanations to all inspectors and controllers who must submit their reports.

Butusov also emphasized that the 155th Brigade had its division of the latest 155-mm "Caesar" guns, part of the VAB armored vehicles, and part of the "Leopard" tanks taken away and transferred to other brigades.

According to him, operators of the "Milan" anti-tank guided missile, trained in France, are being used in the brigade as infantrymen.

The 155th Brigade operates in the Pokrovsk direction.
