The expert explained the threat posed to the AFU by the capture of Dachne in the Kurakhove direction

The capture of the village of Dachne in the direction of Kurakhove may lead to new losses on the Eastern front.

This was reported by military expert Oleksandr Kovalenko in his daily stream on his YouTube channel.

The expert emphasizes that if Russian occupiers soon break through to Dachne and establish control there, the Ukrainian Defence Forces will be forced to retreat from the entire southern flank along the M15 highway and most of the Kurakhove salient towards Ulakli and Konstantynopil.

"This means that the resilience of the defense of the main part of the Kurakhiv salient will directly depend on how long the defense can be held in Dachne," explained the expert.

According to Kovalenko, north of the Kurakhove salient, the situation is somewhat better for the Russian occupiers, as the 90th Tank Division has not yet reached the necessary level of exhaustion and continues maneuvers along the Slav’inka – Petrivka – Shevchenko line.

"This line remains completely unchanged. The occupiers seek to capture Andriivka to exert pressure on Konstantynopil from the north as well," commented the analyst.

Thus, in the near future, the Russian army will try to address the issue with the Kurakhiv salient, acting in two directions, Kovalenko summarized.
