Two explosive ordnance disposal technicians were killed while defusing a drone near Kherson

In the Kherson region, two sappers were killed. They were trying to defuse the warhead of a strike drone.

This was reported in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

It is noted that two police bomb technicians from Zaporizhzhya - Senior Lieutenant Oleksiy Safonov and Lieutenant Illya Derhilov - were conducting demining work in one of the villages of the Bilozerka territorial community.

"During the neutralization of the warhead of an unexploded UAV, detonation occurred. The law enforcement officers sustained fatal injuries," the message states.
