The "authority" Armen Sarkisyan, who was killed as a result of an explosion in an elite residential complex, was working for the government of the aggressor country Russia and planned to "reach Poland," although he lived in Moscow. In the distant ’90s, he was a bandit in the Ukrainian city of Horlivka, where he was born.

Russian media report this, citing their own sources. Since 2022, Sarkisyan had been living permanently in the capital of the Russian Federation, where he purchased an apartment and a parking space in the elite residential complex "Sniguri".

In 2023, he registered a car in Moscow, from where he regularly flew to various cities in the Russian Federation. His wife rented an apartment in the "Red Sails" residential complex, and Sarkisyan would visit her with bodyguards.

Sarkisyan was born in Horlivka, Donetsk region. His father was the elder of the local Armenian community. In the late ’90s, the younger Sarkisyan joined criminal groups and became the "watchman" of the city, earning the nickname Armen Horlivsky.

According to the "Myrotvorets" website, in 2014 he organized attacks by "titushky" on Euromaidan supporters and later headed the Boxing Federation of the so-called "DPR". He obtained Russian citizenship.

In September 2022, he created a volunteer battalion "ArBat" (Armenian Battalion), which was later integrated into the Russian army. At that time, he stated in an interview:
