HACC selected preventive measures for Kyiv Council officials in the case of land appropriation

The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has decided to apply preventive measures against the head and a member of the permanent commission of the Kyiv City Council on architecture, urban planning, and land relations, the deputy director of the Municipal Enterprise "Kyivblahoustrii," and the deputy head of the Municipal Enterprise "Spetszhytlofond," who are suspected in the case of misappropriation of Kyiv’s land.

This became known from a report by the press service of the SAPO.

According to the report, at the request of NABU detectives, agreed upon by the SAPO prosecutor, the investigative judge of the HACC applied a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting a bail of 50 million UAH to a member of the permanent commission of the Kyiv City Council on architecture, urban planning, and land relations—a current deputy of the Kyiv City Council, who is suspected in the case of misappropriation of Kyiv’s land. According to media reports, this involves Kyiv City Council deputy Olena Marchenko (deputy faction "All-Ukrainian Union ’Batkivshchyna’").

It is also reported that the investigative judge of the HACC applied a preventive measure to another deputy of the Kyiv City Council—the head of the Kyiv City Council land commission Mykhaylo Terentyev (pictured), who, according to the investigation, joined the criminal organization for personal enrichment. According to the court’s decision, he was detained with the possibility of posting a bail of 20 million UAH.

Furthermore, according to the report, a preventive measure in the form of detention was applied to the deputy director of the Municipal Enterprise "Kyivblahoustrii" with the possibility of posting a bail of 7.5 million UAH.

The court also applied preventive measures to two suspects—accomplices, one of whom holds the position of the first deputy head of the Municipal Enterprise "Spetszhytlofond," and the other was responsible for accounting. The court applied detention with the possibility of posting a bail of 4.5 million UAH and 8 million UAH respectively to these individuals.

It is also reported that another suspect was subjected to a preventive measure in the form of a personal commitment.
