Ukrainians abroad will be able to obtain a passport without military registration documents, - Chernyshov

Ukrainian men who are abroad and whose passports are expiring will be able to obtain a new document without the need to provide military registration documents.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for National Unity Oleksandr Chernyshov.

"We are currently working to ensure that Ukrainians abroad, whose passports are expiring, can obtain a new document without the need to provide military documents. This applies, for instance, in cases where a citizen is, for example, in the Czech Republic and is denied a passport due to the absence of military registration," Chernyshov said.

He emphasized that the current situation, in which Ukrainians abroad cannot renew their passports due to the requirement for military documents, does not encourage citizens to return to Ukraine.

"We need to liberalize this process, as we do not gain any benefits from such a restriction," added the Deputy Prime Minister.
