In Ukraine, the ministers of Norway have arrived

"Today, I am in Ukraine with my colleague, the Minister of Labor and Integration Tonje Brenna. We are here to express Norway’s unwavering support and long-term partnership with the people of Ukraine at a critical moment," wrote the Foreign Minister.

Espen Barth Eide has visited Ukraine before, but for the Minister of Labor and Integration, this is her first visit to Kyiv during the full-scale war. It is noted that Eide and Brenna will meet with their Ukrainian counterparts and also familiarize themselves with the results of Norway’s assistance.

"However, we will also discuss how we can contribute to the negotiations taking place in Saudi Arabia," said the Norwegian Foreign Minister in an interview with NRK before the visit to Ukraine.

According to Eide, it is very important that those participating in the talks understand that Russia is very adept at manipulation. The Minister also believes that the United States "announced an agreement a bit prematurely, which was not as mutually acceptable as some initially thought."

He noted that Norway could provide Ukraine with advice on negotiation behavior.

"There is currently a lot of work going on in Europe regarding a possible contribution to monitoring a potential agreement. I have rarely seen such activity around Ukraine in Europe as there is now," added Eide.
