In Kyiv, a criminal who hit and robbed a child in the middle of the street was detained

Kyiv law enforcement officers detained a man suspected of robbing a child in the Sviatoshynskyi district. According to the investigation, the perpetrator hit the boy in the face, took his phone, and fled.

This was reported by the press service of the city police. The suspect faces up to ten years of imprisonment.

According to the police, a concerned passerby approached them, reporting that a man had robbed a child in the Sviatoshynskyi district. The officers established that two friends were walking along an evening street when an unknown person ran up to one of them, a 12-year-old boy, and hit him in the face.

"The victim’s friend tried to protect his buddy and called for help, but the attacker snatched the teenager’s mobile phone and fled. Passersby who witnessed the incident immediately called the police," added the press service.

The perpetrator’s identity was swiftly established and turned out to be a 20-year-old Kyiv resident, whom investigators detained. A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of robbery combined with violence that is not dangerous to the life or health of the victim in wartime conditions. The detained person has been informed of the suspicion.
