Ukraine will receive an unprecedented aid package from "Ramstein" - nearly 24 billion dollars

During today’s meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, support for Kyiv amounting to over 21 billion euros (23.85 billion dollars) was announced.

It is reported with reference to the UK Defence Minister John Healy during the meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group.

"The new aid announced today (April 11, - ed.) within the framework of the ’Ramstein Group’ exceeds 21 billion euros. This is a record military support for Ukraine," said Healy.

The "Ramstein" meeting

The "Ramstein" meeting is a regular gathering of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, which brings together dozens of countries worldwide. The first such meeting was held back in 2022 at the American air base "Ramstein" in Germany, from which it derives its name. The purpose of these meetings is to coordinate military assistance to Ukraine in the war against Russia, discuss defense needs, supply weapons, train military personnel, and support in the long term.

Participants of "Ramstein" include NATO countries, the European Union, and other partners of Ukraine. These meetings have become a key platform for making decisions on the provision of tanks, air defense systems, artillery, and other types of weapons.
