Ukraine has developed a new missile-drone "Bars"

This was announced by the Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin during the briefing "Ukrainian Weapons-2024".

"In 2024, we introduced cruise missiles and a new class of fundamentally different missiles, such as drone-missiles. These include ’Palyanytsya,’ ’Peklo,’ ’Ruta,’ and ’Bars,’" he noted.

Later, the Ministry of Strategic Industries clarified to LIGA.net that "Bars" is a new Ukrainian drone-missile. However, details about it are not being disclosed yet, according to the department.

Furthermore, during the briefing, Smetanin stated that while in 2023 Ukraine produced only one model of cruise missile, "Neptune," in 2024, "many new products" emerged, resulting in an eightfold increase in production volume compared to the previous year.
