The "Coalition of the Willing" together with Trump set a deadline for Russia to agree to a ceasefire
The leaders of the "coalition of the willing" called U.S. President Donald Trump after a meeting in Kyiv. A deadline was set for Russia to agree to a ceasefire.
This was reported by Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiha on X (Twitter).
He noted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, along with French leader Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and the Prime Ministers of Poland and Britain Donald Tusk and Keir Starmer, spoke to Trump by phone following the "coalition of the willing" meeting in Kyiv.
"Ukraine and all allies are ready for a full unconditional ceasefire on land, in the air, and at sea for at least 30 days, starting as early as Monday (May 12, - ed.)," Sybiha stated.
According to the Foreign Minister, if Russia agrees and effective monitoring is ensured, a prolonged ceasefire and confidence-building measures can pave the way for peace talks.
