The SAPO amended the suspicion against the former head of Khmelnytskyi MSEC Krupa

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, Vadym Sydorenko, announced a change in the charges against the former chief doctor of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Medical and Social Expertise Center, Tetyana Krupa, who is suspected of illegal enrichment.

This was reported with reference to the online broadcast of the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

“The investigation has begun preparing a new version of the notification of suspicion (Tetyana Krupa – Ed.), in particular, both the circumstances and the legal qualification of the actions, for which evidence has been collected, will be expanded,” said a representative of the prosecution.

In his speech, Prosecutor Sydorenko emphasized a new conclusion from the NAPC, which conducted a complete verification of the electronic declarations for 2022-2023 of the former head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC.

“The NAPC concluded that there is another criminal case regarding Krupa’s actions under part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code (“Declaration of Inaccurate Information”),” noted the prosecutor.

It should be added that during the court session, the defense insisted that the investigation was gathering evidence slowly. In this regard, lawyer Taras Poshyvanyuk resorted to irony, stating that “while the prosecution studies the documents, Tetyana Vasylivna can sit in the pre-trial detention center.”

Krupa’s defence also requested the appeal to cancel the arrest of the suspect (the former MSEC head has been in custody for nine months), bringing to the courtroom a consultative opinion from doctors of the city clinical hospital No. 8, which mentions the progression of her illnesses. However, the judiciary refused to satisfy the lawyers’ complaint, leaving the first-instance court’s decision of May 15 unchanged.
