The Swedish government on June 5 instructed the country’s armed forces to allocate 550 million Swedish kronor (30 million USD) to support Ukraine from NATO.

This is stated in the government’s press release.

The funds are provided as part of the 19th support package for Ukraine, which was announced by the government on March 31 and approved by the Swedish parliament on April 29.

It is indicated that 300 million Swedish kronor will be transferred to the "Comprehensive Assistance Package," a NATO trust fund to support Ukraine.

The fund is used to purchase non-lethal military assistance at Ukraine’s request, such as medical equipment, vehicles, fuel, and field rations.

The other 250 million Swedish kronor will be transferred to the NATO trust fund "Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine" for urgent procurement of goods and services requested by Ukraine, such as spare parts.

"The scale of Sweden’s military support is its strength. Contributions to these NATO funds will strengthen Ukraine’s resilience and logistical capabilities," said Swedish Defense Minister Pål Jonson.
