The HACC released Herman Fistal on bail of 200 million hryvnias instead of arrest

HACC refused to take medical entrepreneur Herman Fistal into custody and released him on bail of 200 million UAH. He needs to pay this amount within 5 days.

The suspect has been imposed with the following obligations: to appear upon the first request; to notify about changes of residence and/or work; not to leave the Kyiv region without permission; not to visit certain premises; to refrain from contact with other suspects and witnesses, as well as other individuals; to surrender his foreign passports for safekeeping and to wear an electronic bracelet.

The court suspended the broadcast while reviewing documents regarding Fistal’s health condition, possibly due to which he was not arrested. The amount of bail likely reflects damages estimated at 231 million UAH.

The SAPO prosecutor, after receiving the full text of the ruling, will decide whether to appeal to the HACC Court of Appeal. The decision was made by HACC investigative judge Viktor Maslov.
