Deputy Avakov drives a cool SUV of Mohylyov
We have repeatedly reported that both the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, his deputies, security, and other individuals close to him live "luxuriously," spending budget funds for comfortable travel around Kyiv and the country. And once again, it has become known that Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov Oleksiy Takhtay uses a Cadillac Escalade SUV with cover license plates for transportation.
This vehicle was used by the former Minister of Internal Affairs Anatoliy Mohylyov, who was accused of extravagance due to the purchase of this luxury-class car. This was confirmed by two sources to the journalists of the "Schemes" program. The makes and license plates of this and other vehicles recorded during the investigation were sent by the journalists in a request to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The fact that the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine continues to use expensive cars, purchased during the times of former President Viktor Yanukovych, was explained by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Artem Shevchenko, to the journalists: "There is such a suggestion that perhaps this regulation was somehow amended or corrected."

In May 2014, the government of Arseniy Yatsenyuk decided to sell off the official car fleets of ministries and issued a decree to make this order official. After the sale, only three vehicles were to remain for use by the central apparatus of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The public first mentioned the expensive SUV of Anatoliy Mohylyov at the end of summer 2010. An elite car worth about one million hryvnias was found in the fleet of the then Ministry of Internal Affairs. Minister of Internal Affairs Anatoliy Mohylyov, who held the position from March 2010 to November 2011, claimed that the car was not purchased with state funds but was gifted.
Eventually, the car was planned to be transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for meetings with foreign delegations.
