In the Kharkiv detention center, a person was beaten to death: seven employees of the institution have been charged

In Kharkiv Detention Center, an arrested man was beaten to death, and seven staff members were charged, reports the SBI.

According to the investigation’s version, in April, the detention center staff decided to "set straight" one of the newly delivered suspects and placed him in a cell with a convicted individual, which contradicts the law.

The latter beat him to a semi-conscious state, but the victim received no assistance. He died during the night.

Charges were brought against the former head of the detention center, two operational officers, the duty assistant of the head, the senior on the block, and two junior inspectors of the facility.
