NABU investigates a case against Deputy Prime Minister Stefanishyna: suspicion of abuse of power
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating a criminal case against the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olha Stefanishyna, who was dismissed on July 16 and is temporarily acting until a successor is appointed.
According to the official response from the NABU to the inquiry of Member of Parliament Oleksiy Honcharenko, the case was opened on June 11 under Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - abuse of power or official position. The sanction of the article includes up to six years of imprisonment.
Earlier, information emerged that structures allegedly related to Stefanishyna’s former husband began to receive management of state-seized assets. This might have been the basis for initiating the investigation.
The official herself has not yet commented on the situation.
