In the Odesa region, a tree fell on children: there is one dead and several injured

On Sunday afternoon, July 27, in the city of Balta, Odesa region, a tree fell on children due to bad weather. One of the teenagers could not be saved.

Information about this was published with reference to the Facebook page of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.

Rescuers reported that in the Podilskyi district of the region, in the city of Balta, teenagers were resting by the river. Then the bad weather began, a strong wind arose, resulting in a tree falling on the tent where the teenagers were staying.

"The rescuers arrived at the scene and freed 4 children from under the tree, handing them over to medics. Unfortunately, the fifth child could not be saved," the report stated.

The State Emergency Service added that all circumstances are currently being established by police representatives.
