The court has arrested in absentia the defendant in the "eggs for 17 UAH" case, Tetyana Hlynyana

In Ukraine, a preventive measure was chosen for the scandalous owner of supplier firms suspected of corruption during the procurement of food products for Ukrainian military personnel (known as the "eggs for 17 UAH" case). Although the name of this person has not been announced, it was previously reported that it concerns Tetyana Hlynyana.

As reported by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, on July 28, an investigative judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for her in the form of detention. The decision was made in absentia, as the woman has been hiding from justice abroad since at least April.

Therefore, the investigative judge will resolve the issue of applying the preventive measure after the suspect is detained and delivered to the place of the pre-trial investigation.
