The Armed Forces of Ukraine made an alarming statement about the situation in Pokrovsk

The situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, is very difficult, reminiscent of what it was like in the city of Selydove in 2024.

This was reported on his Telegram channel by a Ukrainian Armed Forces lieutenant with the call sign "Alex".

The Ukrainian defender explains:

"The situation in Pokrovsk is somewhat reminiscent of Selydove last year: when the front line approached the city closely, the Russians began sending small assault groups of 2-3 people to infiltrate various shelters and attempt to establish themselves and advance into the city by any means necessary. At the same time, they tried to flank Selydove - it was then that they started acting more cunningly, avoiding frontal attacks."

According to him, in Pokrovsk, the front line consists of separate positions through which the enemy tries to "penetrate" into the city and hide, aiming to advance further chaotically. Meanwhile, "Alex" noted that the occupiers are still assaulting the city head-on but have bypassed the Pokrovsk-Myrnohrad agglomeration:

"The situation is quite difficult, I hope that the command in the city will gather strength and continue to organize the defence."
