Caution, phishing: A new fraudulent scheme has appeared with SMS from "Ukrposhta"

The Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) reports on a new fraud scheme disguised as a message from "Ukrposhta".

Fraudsters are sending SMS messages requesting to follow a link supposedly to confirm the delivery address.

The company "Ukrposhta" has already officially stated that they have no relation to such messages. They do not send SMS from unfamiliar numbers and urge citizens to be cautious and not to follow suspicious links.

If you receive such a message:

  • do not follow the link;

  • do not enter any personal information;

  • delete the SMS;

  • report the incident to the cyber police.

Be cautious — fraudsters become more active during times of increased online activity and instability.
