The Rada Committee recommended suspending Maryana Bezuhla for violating the regulations
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Regulations has recommended excluding MP Maryana Bezuhla from Rada sessions.
As reported by the author of the resolution, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, her suspension is proposed due to «systematic violation of regulations and antisocial behavior».
In response, Bezuhla stated that she would take the matter to court.
«MP Zhelezniak claims that I allegedly obstructed the activities of people’s deputies by filming parliamentary sessions on a day when live broadcasts were officially allowed. However, no one raises questions about Honcharenko, who has long been conducting live broadcasts. I am accused of walking around the hall with a sign saying «Power is the people», which supposedly interfered with my colleagues. Yet, when it comes to blocking the rostrum, numerous signs, and disruptions of parliamentary sessions by «European Solidarity» or «Holos», no issues are raised», – she explained the committee’s bias.
She also commented on MP Ustynova, who voted in favor of punishing Bezuhla.
«These are the double standards in Parliament that I spoke about today, which caused another wave of outrage among some MPs, particularly Ustynova, the head of «Holos», who does not attend most parliamentary sessions at all, as she lives in the USA with her husband», – the MP wrote.
