Former Mayor of Kherson Mykolayenko after captivity: "Today is my second birthday"

Former mayor of Kherson Volodymyr Mykolayenko shared his impressions after being released from captivity: «I saw nothing but concrete and bars, today is my second birthday».

Mykolayenko was taken captive in April 2022 (at that time, he was no longer the mayor).

In the same year, 2022, Mykolayenko was included in the exchange lists, but he gave up his turn to a seriously ill captive with gangrene, asking for him to be released instead. Since then, he was not included in the exchange lists.
