Svyrydenko held talks with the Prime Minister of Denmark regarding European integration and defence

"Danish model" of arms financing for Ukraine should become part of future security guarantees.

This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Yuliya Svyrydenko on Telegram.

According to Svyrydenko, today she had a "friendly and constructive conversation with the Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen. The main topic was the start of negotiations on EU membership.

"Ukraine is ready to open the first three negotiation clusters now, and all others by the end of the year. The opening of the first one will signal to Ukrainians the irreversibility of our Eurointegration," the Prime Minister noted.

Svyrydenko informed Frederiksen that after the negotiations in Washington, Ukraine is working on a framework for security guarantees.

"Our position is clear: no territorial concessions, limitations on sovereignty, or defence capabilities," the head of the Ukrainian government emphasized.

In turn, Ms. Frederiksen confirmed that Denmark will continue to resolutely support Ukraine on its path to the EU and in strengthening its defence.

"She noted the "Danish model" of support for the defence sector - a transparent mechanism that combines state funding, contributions from partners, and direct orders for the Ukrainian defence industry. Such a model should become part of future security guarantees for Ukraine and Europe," Svyrydenko stated.
