The occupiers launched a massive attack on Ukraine: the enemy launched "Shaheds," missiles from bombers, and "Kalibrs"

On September 2, the aggressor state of Russia launched another attack on Ukraine, with alarms spreading across the regions due to the threat of strike UAVs. As of the evening, over 100 enemy drones were recorded over our country, and shortly before midnight, it became known that the Russian Federation had taken its strategic aviation into the air. The Russians attacked Ukraine with missiles from these, as well as "Kalibr" missiles.

As reported in monitoring channels, Tu-95MS and Tu-160 bombers were deployed. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of Russian UAVs.

Course of the Russian attack

As of 23:28, an alarm was declared in the majority of regions of Ukraine. New groups of enemy UAVs entered the country from various directions, moving along familiar routes toward the western regions.

As of 00:00, the map of alarms looked as follows. According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UAVs from the Zhytomyr region were flying to the Rivne region, and UAVs from the Vinnytsia region were heading to the Khmelnytskyi region.

In the Volyn region, UAVs were heading towards Lutsk.

Meanwhile, a UAV crash was recorded in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv. Initially, there were no fires or destruction, as reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

Many drones were heading towards Znamianka/Kropyvnytskyi. The Kirovohrad Regional State Administration later reported a drone attack on the Znamianka community, particularly on objects of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".

The alarm spread to almost all regions as of 00:50. There was also information that Russia raised one Tu-160 aircraft.

At 01:40, it became known that, preliminarily, launches of Kh-101/55 type cruise missiles from bombers were carried out. However, over time, they did not appear in the airspace.

Meanwhile, enemy drones continued to attack western regions of Ukraine, particularly Volyn, Bukovina, and Lviv. There, air defence forces were operational, and explosions were heard.

As of 02:00, there were seven enemy bombers in the air, according to monitors. There was one Tu-95MS and one Tu-160 in the Saratov region, as well as a Tu-95MS from "Olenya" in the Murmansk region/Karelia.

Around 04:00, it became known about launches of Kh-101 missiles by strategic aviation from the Saratov region of the Russian Federation, as well as "Kalibr" launches from the Black Sea.

At 04:36, "Kalibr" missiles began entering Ukraine. An alarm was declared in all regions.

Consequences of the Russian attack

Kirovohrad region. The enemy drone attack was directed at the Znamianka community, particularly on objects of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", as reported by the Regional State Administration.

Currently, it is known about five injured people who are receiving medical assistance. Seventeen residential buildings were damaged, one was destroyed. The community’s settlements were disconnected from electricity.

Also, "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported delays of several trains.

Kyiv region. According to the Regional State Administration, in Vyshhorod, as a result of the enemy attack, remains of a downed target ignited amongst residential multi-storey buildings. A car and building glass were damaged.

"The fire has been extinguished. Initially, there are no casualties. All operational services are engaged. More detailed information will be provided later," the statement says.
