Unmanned reconnaissance specialist Serhiy Naumenko became the Deputy Minister of MIA
An expert in unmanned reconnaissance has been appointed responsible for border security at the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The head of the department, Ihor Klymenko, announced the appointment of police colonel Serhiy Naumenko as his deputy.
“His aerial reconnaissance group, formed in the early days of the full-scale conflict, played a crucial role in the timely detection of the enemy on the approaches to Kyiv and supported the successful defence of the capital. He participated in battles in Syevyerodonetsk, Lysychansk, Izium, Balakliia, Kupyansk, Vuhledar, Marinka, and Bakhmut,” Klymenko shares about his experience.
Among his new responsibilities is the “formation and implementation of state policy in the field of state border security.”
It is known that Ukrainian border guards actively use drones to monitor the western border and identify evaders.
