Russia has announced its readiness to continue negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the aggressor country Russia, Mikhail Galuzin, claims that Moscow is «ready» to continue negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul.

He stated this on Thursday, September 4, as reported by the Russian propaganda agency TASS.

He also claims the Kremlin’s «openness» to discussing the issue of raising the level of the Russian delegation in negotiations with Kyiv.

At the same time, Galuzin reiterated false narratives about the alleged lack of «desire to seek peaceful solutions to the crisis» in the EU and Ukraine, which Moscow refers to as the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The last time Ukraine and Russia met in Istanbul at the delegation level was on July 23, 2025, when they held the third round of negotiations mediated by Turkish authorities.
