The Armed Forces of Ukraine have blocked the enemy in Kupyansk and cleared their positions, - military official

Units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine have blocked the enemy in the city of Kupyansk and cleared areas where the occupiers managed to establish positions.

This was stated by the commander of the 429th separate unmanned systems regiment "ACHILLES," Yuriy Fedorenko.

"At the current moment, our units continue to carry out combat missions in the Kharkiv region. It should be understood that in the city of Kupyansk, the Defence Forces managed to block the enemy and eliminate them in the areas where they had previously managed to infiltrate," Fedorenko said.

According to him, on the northwestern outskirts of the city, Ukrainian military personnel have also taken under fire control the areas where the enemy is most actively trying to cross from the left to the right bank.

"Their crossing looks like a stretched cable across the river; it is not a standard pontoon crossing. However, boats and rafts allow the enemy to carry out tasks of transporting personnel, albeit with difficulties," he explained.

The military officer noted that the enemy conducted active assault operations throughout the night in the area of the settlement of Milove.

"In the area of Dvorichna, there are no changes. Near the settlement of Milove, heavy and intense battles continued throughout the night. The enemy crossed the state border slightly south of the settlement of Milove. As a result, the Defence Forces of Ukraine met the enemy in combat, and therefore the enemy was unable to breach the border to any significant distance," Fedorenko added.
