The Ministry of Education is reinstating the State Final Attestation for 4th graders in a new test format

In 2027, Ukrainian schoolchildren will again be required to take the State Final Attestation (SFA) after the 4th grade, which was canceled since the beginning of military actions.

The exam will be conducted in a new format, similar to the External Independent Evaluation (EIE), as stated in the order of the Ministry of Education.

In the spring of 2026, a trial testing in the new format will already take place, after which the exam will become mandatory.

It should be noted that the SFA was suspended during the pandemic and at the start of full-scale military actions.
