Massive drone attack on Kharkiv: nearly 30,000 subscribers left without electricity
In Kharkiv, as a result of a massive attack by Russian drones on an energy facility, the Kholodnohirskyi district was left without power. About 80,000 consumers lost electricity, and currently, nearly 30,000 subscribers remain without power.
This was reported by "Kharkivoblenergo". The main impact was on an energy facility, causing widespread power outages.
As a result of the attack, tens of thousands of Kharkiv residents were left without electricity. According to operational information, about 80,000 subscribers, including both households and businesses, lost power. By morning, power was restored to the homes of over 50,000 consumers, but around 30,000 people are still without electricity.
The power outage zone covers part of the Kholodnohirskyi district. The affected area is bounded by Velyka Panasivska, Yevhen Kotliar, Nizhynska, Sirykivska, and Borys Shramko streets. Specialists from "Kharkivoblenergo" began repair work immediately after receiving permission to operate under safe conditions. Energy crews are working around the clock to restore power to residents’ homes.
In addition to the energy facility, residential buildings, shops, and several vehicles were damaged as a result of enemy strikes. Fortunately, there are no reported injuries.
Despite the critical strike, the city managed to maintain stability in water supply. However, in some areas, there may be localized issues with hot water supply due to power outages, and these issues are already being addressed by specialists from "Kharkiv Thermal Networks".
Due to the power outage in parts of the Kholodnohirskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, issues arose with the operation of ground electric transport. Trams and trolleybuses are temporarily not running, but the city authorities quickly organized compensatory buses, which have already been deployed on routes.
The city’s communal services, energy workers, and rescuers are working in an enhanced mode. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the attack are ongoing. The mayor, Ihor Terekhov, thanked everyone who stood guard during the night – from energy workers and communal staff to medics and rescuers.
