The General Staff confirmed the strikes on Russia’s energy and drone infrastructure

The Defence Forces struck oil refineries in Bashkortostan and oil pumping stations in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation. The production of drones in Valuyki and the Astrakhan gas processing plant were also hit.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Strike on Bashkortostan

Thus, on the night of September 24, the Defence Forces hit the territory of the “Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat” oil refinery in Bashkortostan. According to preliminary information, the primary oil processing unit ELOU-AVT-6 was damaged. A fire continues at the plant.

"This enterprise processed up to 10 million tons of oil per year and is a key producer of liquid rocket fuel in Russia," explained the General Staff.

Volgograd region under fire

In addition, the Defence Forces inflicted damage on important facilities in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation, which are involved in supplying the occupying army.

"The fire engulfed the ‘Kuzmichi-1’ oil pumping station, which is part of the transportation system for crude oil to the southern regions of the Russian Federation," the message said.

In addition, the ‘Zenzevatka’ oil pumping station, which ensures the transportation of oil through the main oil pipeline "Kuybyshev-Tikhoretsk," was damaged.

Hit on drone production

Apart from the oil infrastructure, the night attacks recorded a hit on the production of unmanned aerial vehicles in the settlement of Valuyki (Belgorod region) - a fire broke out at the enterprise. The results and extent of the damage to these objects are being clarified.

Attack on Astrakhan GPP

The General Staff also confirmed the result of one of the previous operations: on September 22, long-range weapons of the Defence Forces hit the Astrakhan gas processing plant, causing damage to production areas and halting part of the technological cycle.

This GPP is one of the largest gas-chemical complexes in the world and a major producer of sulfur for Russia’s industrial needs.

The department emphasizes that these measures are part of comprehensive steps to reduce the offensive potential of the Russian army and complicate the supply of fuel and ammunition to the occupiers, forcing them to stop armed aggression against Ukraine.
