Zelenskyy: Trump finally wants Ukraine to win

He stated this in an interview with Axios.

When asked by the journalist: "So now you believe that President Trump finally wants a victory for Ukraine?", Zelenskyy replied: "Yes".

The journalist reminded that Donald Trump previously stated: "Oh, you know, because of Mr. Zelenskyy, you have no cards". In a follow-up question about what has changed since then, Zelenskyy replied that the situation changed due to Trump’s relationship with Putin (Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, - ed.)

"I think President Trump understood that Putin would not bring him success, even if we look at this moment in that way, society, American society, I think it is very important for the President of the United States," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, public support is extremely important for any leader. He added that "the American society does not respect and does not trust Putin, and mostly they do not believe that he wants to end this war."
