In Lviv region, the clearing of debris continues: there may be people under it

As a result of a massive Russian strike on Lviv region, a private house was destroyed, and four people, including a 15-year-old girl, were killed. Preliminary reports suggest that there may be people under the rubble.

This was reported based on the statement of Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.

The Minister explained that as a result of the enemy’s massive combined strike, Lviv and Zaporizhzhya regions suffered the most. The following were damaged:

  • one and a half dozen residential buildings,
  • energy facilities,
  • an oncology center.

In the Lviv region, the enemy destroyed a private house. Four people were killed, including a 15-year-old girl.

"Preliminary information indicates that there are people under the rubble. Rescuers are working at the scene, and debris clearance is ongoing," Klymenko added.

Meanwhile, in Zaporizhzhya, one person was killed due to Russian aggression, and over ten were injured.

The State Emergency Service and police have been at the sites from the first minutes, under a high threat of repeated strikes. Maximum forces and units are deployed for rescue and assistance to the victims.

In total, over a thousand rescuers and police officers are involved in mitigating the consequences and documenting the crimes: explosive ordnance disposal experts, investigators, special emergency rescue teams, psychologists, and canine units.

Rescuers have extinguished 10 out of 13 fires caused by the attack. Investigators have already received over 250 reports of destruction in Zaporizhzhia and 140 in Lviv.

People left without electricity

Due to the shelling, over 110,000 subscribers in various regions are left without electricity.

Almost 400 "Points of Invincibility" based at police units are already operating across the country. If necessary, additional ones will be deployed where people can:

  • warm up,
  • charge their phones,
  • receive assistance.

"The purpose of these strikes is clear - to sow panic ahead of winter, especially in regions far from the front line. But we know how to act. Ukraine will endure this terror, as it does every day," he explained.
