France will provide Ukraine with additional Mirage fighter jets and air defence missiles, - Zelenskyy

Ukraine may soon receive additional Mirage 2000 aircraft from France - the corresponding decision has already been made. Ukraine will also receive additional missiles for air defence systems.

This was announced by Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his evening address.

Zelenskyy announced the delivery of additional fighters and missiles to Ukraine, as well as assistance with interceptor drones. He thanked Britain and France for providing support to Ukraine.

"There is a decision on additional Mirage fighters for Ukraine and missiles for air defense. Britain will continue to assist us with air defense, also with missiles and the production of interceptor drones," the president reported.

As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron stated on October 24, after a meeting of the "coalition of the determined," that France would provide Ukraine with new military aid in the coming days. In particular, this includes Mirage fighters and Aster ammunition for the SAMP/T air defense systems.

On the same day, Zelenskyy also hinted at "secret decisions" made by partners to help Ukraine. However, he did not disclose any details.
