"We are not pulling out": colonel explains why the AFU is not going on the offensive

Former speaker of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, colonel, military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov said that the Russian-Ukrainian war can only be paused by a lack of resources.

He reported this in a commentary to TSN.ua.

“Spring, as a seasonal phenomenon, is unlikely to pause the war. The lack of resources can pause the war,” said Vladyslav Seleznyov.

According to him, the intensity of the fighting does not subside, since the Russians have a large resource, which they are trying to transform into territorial gains. According to Seleznev, this spring there will be serious dynamics if the enemy has the resources to conduct an offensive, or an operational pause if the resources are exhausted.

How the Armed Forces of Ukraine will act in the spring

Vladyslav Seleznyov believes that this spring and the entire year for the Ukrainian military will pass under the slogan of “strategic defense.” Units and subunits located on the line of combat will deter Russian attempts, and strategic resources and reserves will be formed for future offensive operations. We are talking not only about the accumulation of weapons and ammunition, but also about the formation of mobilization resources.

The expert noted that the intensity and final chords of this process directly depend on how quickly the case of US military-technical assistance is accepted.

“It’s obvious that we can’t pull out this option on our own; even the support of our European partners cannot fully satisfy all the current needs of the Ukrainian army,” he added.
